Scavenger Hunt - Sweet

Yep, they are really sweet. Had to get up early to get the picture before they are all gone.

Are They Done Yet ?

Brunos' favorite day of the week is when we make dog food. He gets to be the taster and he really enjoys his job. He is sitting so patiently waiting for it to cool.

One day this past week I made some white chocolate/macadamia nut cookies and a cup of raspberry tea and with the snow out side and the house all quiet (which doesn't happen very often) I decided I might like to sit and read for a while. So I chose a book I hadn't read that looked pretty old well needless to say when I opened it and saw it was published 111 years ago in 1898 I got sidetracked and never did get back to that chair. Oh but I did eat the cookies while I was on the computer checking out all the rest of the old books on the shelf.

Goin' to the Dogs

Everything is so expensive anymore, and I've been trying to cut costs any way I can. So today when I looked at the empty dog food bag (again) I thought hmmmm... I bet I can find dry dog food recipes on line ( I've been able to find just about every other recipe I have ever looked for) and sure enough with a little searching and researching I was able to come up with something . And the best part is even the pickiest eater loves it. Actually the best part is it costs a fraction of what the cheapest dog food costs and it is better for them. I also made little peanut butter dog treats for them. So then I had to do something for the humans (?) that live here too. That would be the soft ginger cookies in the background.

Scavenger Hunt - Broken

I think the sky must be broken because this white stuff just keeps falling and falling.
(: Oh well this is the best I can do this week :)

Stone Soup Fun

I wanted to do something fun today (besides the laundry) , so I made a felt board story of one of my favorites - 'Stone Soup'. I think it turned out kind of cute and it all stores away in a file folder including the felt board the story and all the pieces. I'm going to do 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' next. I got the cutouts from dltk-kids.com, it's a great site.
